Welcome
Our club was established in 1985 by a small group of photographers who were passionate about their hobby. Over the years the club has weathered many changes, most notably in the shift from film to digital photography. As technology advanced, new procedures and techniques used in the creation of photographic art were adopted with some wonderful and creative results.
The club meets every Thursday at 7:30pm at Beeslack High School, Penicuik between September and April. The Community Lounge within the school provides the ideal blackout space for projecting images on a large screen, followed by refreshments in the same room.
Over the years, we have hosted some big events including special guest speakers like Charlie Waite, Colin Prior, Andy Rouse and Joe Cornish.
In addition to the regular Thursday evenings, a number of other more specialist groups are held on a monthly basis. These include,
during the summer months, a number of members participate in a variety of outings across Scotland which provides an opportunity to get to know members and support each other capturing Scotland's landscapes and Nature/Wildlife. This includes Professional Workshops.
If you would like to ask questions about becoming a member, please come along and visit us on club nights or you can email the club secretary via the contact us page.
Thank you
